FOOT AND ANKLE REHAB
There are 26 bones that comprise the foot and ankle complex. A thorough working knowledge and understanding of each joint and their interplay is essential to properly rehabilitate the lower limb.
At Evolution Sports, therapists possess detailed continuing education and expertise in foot and ankle joint kinematics, mobilization and rehabilitation. This knowledge base allows therapists to treat everything from plantar fasciitis to ankle sprains. A large aspect of foot and ankle rehab comes in the form of proprioceptive retraining. These therapeutic exercises are designed to prevent recurrence of lower limb injury and expedite the heeling process.
Every patient receives an individualized program to meet their specific needs and goals.
At Evolution Sports you will never be disappointed with the quality of care you receive.
In addition to physical therapy for the foot, we offer fittings for orthotics. We can assess the foot and see if orthotics would make sense for you.
The foot is arguably the most important structure in the human body. It is our only contact with the ground and is equal parts mobile and rigid. The foot can be a source of many problems as forces from the ground travel up the kinetic chain affecting our knees, hips, and low back. With few people possessing the perfect foot, frequently, creating the perfect orthotic can remedy abnormal biomechanics of the foot and reduce pain or dysfunction of the legs and low back.
The Therapists at Evolution Sports are trained to correctly assess all aspects of the anatomy of the lower limb and evaluate the appropriateness for a custom orthotic. Specificity is achieved by creating an exact replica of the foot using a slipper casting technique from which your custom orthotic is fabricated.
